School Vacation Week!

Argh – Already? And Sunday River is BUSY!  Good that the weather has been nice and there is plenty of snow coverage with almost all the trails open. But also, not a bad idea if you are taking the week off and looking forward to the regular weekday crowds. In the mean time, a couple things to consider and or plan for in the next few weeks: Ski Lessons, a Day Trip, a GS Race, and Keep your eye out for a PTSC member survey in your inbox in the near future (you could win a $25 Gift Card).

But First, it is time to start planning for the End of Year Dinner!

When:  March 26, 2026

Where:  Town and Country Inn and Resort; 20 US Rt. 2 Shelburne (Gorham), NH 03581

Time:  Social Hour  5:30-6:30 pm Cash Bar and hors d’oeurves

Dinner 6:30-9:00 pm

Menu:  Buffet……  No need to pre-select!  

• Appetizers; Stuffed Mushroom Caps,  Antipasto Platter. Watermelon Basket,

• Cheese & Crackers

• Plated Garden Salad with choice of dressings

• Carving Station of Roast Prime Ribs of Beef Au Jus and Baked Virginia Ham

• Baked Haddock with crabmeat stuffing

• Eggplant Parmesan

• Mixed Zucchini and Summer Squash

• Baked Stuffed Potatoes

• Dessert

Cost:  $50 pp for members, $55 for non-members; Pre Paid Dinner

It’s not too late to sign up for Ski Lessons this season. The ‘Program 2’ of the SR weekday adult lesson program ‘Masters of the Mountain’ starts on Tuesday, 24 February. Contact Brenda Saller for more info.

How about a day trip to Bretton Woods? on Wednesday, 25 February.  Yes, Really, this time for sure (…but of course it is weather dependent). Seniors ages 65-79 ski for just $40 per day; Adults -65 is $109. Offer available if booked online in advance. Super seniors 79+ is $0 everyday.  Contact Glenn Saller for more info.

And if you are feeling competitive: The Legends GS Race, is Friday, March 6 at 1 pm at Black Mtn in Rumford. Divisions Men and Women age 50-59, 60-69, 70+; Team trophy for team of 4 with at least 1 woman or 1 man; Preregister  $50, Day of race $60. Registration includes lift ticket for the day. This is a Fundraiser for the MSSM. All info and registration available at www.maineskiandsnowboardmuseum.org. There ARE already a few Prime Timer’s signed up to race! As always we are looking for ideas and help organizing and running Club Events. If you would like to organize and or lead a new activity or event, or have a great suggestion, we would love to hear from you; the Board Members can’t do it all, we need your help.
