PTSC Newsletter for Jan 28, 2024

With intermittent snow and the temps cooperating, Sunday River is nearly 100% open. Winter is seriously underway!
Meet up: North Peak at 10:00 am Monday thru Friday. You can always find some friendly, smiling faces near the fireplace.

Don’t forget! Pot Luck is this Thursday at 5:30 at the First Congregational Church in Bethel. CHANGE: We will be meeting upstairs in the chapel this month. Please enter through the door circled in the picture.
Ski Lessons started Tuesday 1/23. If there is interest, a second group of four sessions would run 2/27, 3/5, 3/19, 3/26. Lessons are on Tuesday afternoons  from 1:00 to 2:30 and cost $139. If you’re interested, please email Brenda Saller. Brenda coordinates the list of names with the school office.  (These “4-packs” are a special program just for Prime Time.)

Interested in snowshoeing? Cyd McCann would like to start this as a regular activity. She and Bob McQueeney are scoping out trails and venues with varying degrees of difficulty and parking facilities. Some members have suggested a Saturday snowshoe or perhaps a weekday afternoon. If you are interested or have suggestions, please email Cyd.

Senior Players welcomes anyone who is interested in any aspect of community theater, including all aspects of production, stagecraft, writing, and acting. A self-directed group, this session has no performance scheduled. They meet every Thursday, 2-4 pm, in Newry or Bethel (at Players private residence for now). It’s FREE, AND you don’t need to pay annual dues [$25] to Western Mountain Senior College to participate! We are talking about ideas for writing our own short plays (10-20 minutes), practicing improv exercises, and reading existing scripts, potentially for future performance, opening the weekend before Thanksgiving,  at the Auditorium on Gould Academy campus. Interested folks can contact Stacia via email for more information. It’s FUN!

Check out Prime Time Ski Club website for more information.  Please reach out to any board member with questions, suggestions for future event. With lots of new members we would love to add new ideas, adventures, and activities to our calendar. Come up with an idea and the board will assist you to help make it happen. We look forward to hearing from you. Just reply to this email. Enjoy our winter wonderland!
