What a great week at the River! Finally got some real light fluffy snow, temps did get cold the end of the week. The River keeps opening up more and more terrain and always making snow. It’s nice to see the mountain getting back in shape, they have worked so hard to give us our playground. Meet up: North Peak at 10:00 am Monday thru Friday. You can always find some friendly, smiling faces near the fireplace. THIS WEEK: Senior week, or Go Fifty week. January 22 thru the 26th. Monday at 10 AM is the always popular cinnamon bun social at North Peak. Check Sunday River website for details on events for this week. Sunday River Ski shop will be offering ski demos for $40.00 and $50.00 classic tunes during this week. Ski Lessons start Tuesday 1/23. Sunday River Snow Sports School is offering Prime Time members two “4-packs” of group ski lessons. These lessons will be on Tuesday afternoons from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Each “4-pack” (four clinics/lessons) will be $139 and will need to be purchased in the ski school office (the building behind the fire pit at the base of South Ridge). The first four lessons will be on Tuesdays, 1/23, 1/30, 2/6, and 2/13. The second group of four sessions, if there is interest, would run 2/27, 3/5, 3/19, 3/26. Maine Adaptive needs volunteers. If you have the time and ability, consider volunteering for this organization.
