PTSC Newsletter 6 December, 2025

Wow, That was Fast…

November is in the rear view mirror and December is not slowing down!  This time of year always seems to move so quickly with all the holidays and activities with friends and family; And of course the excitement of getting back onto the snow in western Maine. Ski conditions at Sunday River really are getting better every day; South Ridge is now open and we are skiing from Jordan Bowl to Locke & Barker. The snow guns have been running almost non-stop and we have received a couple good helpings of nice powdery dry snow this past week.

We are looking forward to the first PTSC potluck dinner of the season this coming week (5:30 on December 11) at the exhibit hall/barn behind the Dr Moses Mason House; 10 Broad Street in Bethel (Bethel Historical Society House – Mason & Broad Streets).  Enter through the Side Door on Mason Street. As usual BYOB and a dish to share. We will have a guest Speaker: Glenn Parkinson, President of the Maine Ski and Snowboard Museum. He is a ski historian and collector and wrote the book “First tracks” about the history of skiing in Maine. His talk will be on “Why we ski”, and should be very entertaining.

In case you missed the last newsletter, or just a reminder:

If you have any BoyneRewards Points you have until 15 December to redeem them at the current rate. See BoyneRewards website for details.

The club board will be working on filling in the calendar of events in the next couple weeks, so be sure to check the website.  If you would like to arrange and or lead an activity or event, or have a great suggestion, we would love to hear from you; and if you would like to contribute any photos to share on the website please contact any board member or reply to this email.
