PTSC Newsletter 2023-03-18

Folks,

More good skiing this week!!! Some of the nicest conditions all season, and warmer weather to boot. We have a group heading to Tremblant this week, have a great time up north!

A note about injuries sustained by our members. Last week, I mentioned to get ahold of Donna, myself or Norm to get in last minute for the end of the year dinner, preferably Norm. We previously had been telling everyone to contact any board member. I offered that Cyd and Suzie are not available due to injury and health concern, only as an explanation as to why I was not suggesting you contact them. If we were to publicize every member injury, this newsletter would become an injury report as opposed to a weekly bulletin of events and such with the club. Ski safe and have fun!!!

End of the Year Dinner on March 30. Please be aware that the “Cash” bar we are used to will now be a “Cashless” bar. You will need to use a credit card or gift card to pay for your drinks.

Bowling at River lanes, 5PM on Thursday, followed up with dinner out somewhere in town.

Monday Movie night. The Gem is open Monday nights, grab a friend and catch a movie together.

Maine Adaptive Sports and Recreation Ski-a-thon is back on Sunday, April 2.

The Ski-a-thon is an inclusive on and off snow fun and fundraising event.  Over a dozen Prime Time members volunteered with MASR in past years and many more appreciate the determination of the athletes we see sharing our joy of skiing.   Maine Adaptive runs 10 free sports and recreation programs for adults and children with physical and developmental challenges, including ski programs at Sunday River as well as Sugarloaf, Saddleback, and Pleasant Mountain.

Consider a donation.  At the suggestion of a few members, we’ve set up a Fundraising page for Prime Time members who wish to donate to the Ski-a-thon.  Click the link and scroll down to the Prime Time team to donate.   https://maineadaptive.kindful.com/2023-ski-a-thon-2023.  If you would prefer to write a check, payable to MASR either given to PT members Geri Fitzgerald or Paul Hogan, or mailed to Maine Adaptive PO Box 853, Bethel ME 04217.
