Skiing was a little more challenging this week with the wet snow and … rain… then freezing up at night. Hard and fast are the conditions. Spring conditions, everything except packed powder it seems!
Currently, we are meeting at Barker at 10 AM, until North Peak Lodge opens up. Some meet outside in front of the ski racks, others venture inside near the fireplace on the main level, taking a break and getting some coffee. What you do is up to you!
Pot luck is December 15th at 5:30, Board meeting is 4:30 for board members. Location is Cascades Condos common room. Park out front, go inside, take the door to the left in the lobby and go upstairs one level. Take the door on the right, you are there. They have 3 round tables and 12 chairs. There are couches and coffee tables available as well. We are going to need volunteers to bring folding tables and chairs. Please co-ordinate with Bob McQueeney if you can bring some chairs or tables.
As always, if you are interested in setting up an event for the club, please do so. We’ll support you in doing so, put out notifications and assist in any way we can. Just contact a board member and we’ll add it to the calendar. We have a Tremblant ski trip happening, cooking classes, and, I think, a wine tasting. We will soon have bowling and other activities. The Gem is now open Monday nights, so Monday movie nights are possible again.
