Here’s hoping everyone had a great Thanksgiving with family friends and loved ones!
The River keeps on expanding! They have Kansas, Northern Lights and Firestar added to the list! More terrain soon. The report says Machine groomed primary surface. Well, it is, but there is boilerplate beneath it when it scrapes down, just be aware of that. The recent wet heavy snow has coated every trail with some 6 inches of good base snow. That will help open up trails, but they do need to blow snow on the trails, or get another big storm or three.
Ski swap in Bethel. Many of us frequent this event. It has been rescheduled for Friday, December 8, 6PM -9 PM, and Saturday December 9, 9 AM to 12 PM at the Gould Academy Field house.
Safety suggestion. When exiting the Jordan 8 pack, be aware that there are some people who do not understand that you should ski straight until you are out of the building and then turn gently, being aware there may be up to 8 people getting off that chair. I have been cutoff twice in the past two days. It’s happened before and I was ready, just be aware.
Vico interactive map. Glenn pointed out to me that he couldn’t find a link to this map on the Sunday River Site. I find this to be a useful map, though sometimes inaccurate (sigh). Anyways, for those who want it, save this link in your favorites or bookmarks.
