Howdy folks,
Ski season has kicked off! Conditions were as one would expect first day, terrible, but… Not this time! It was the best first day evah!!! Lolopalooza was wide and covered, top to bottom. Plenty of room for folks to spread out after first chair. Rogue Angel was challenging and fun, whales all over. Mostly edge-able, but then, you’d come across an icy one! It was a good crowd for the amount of terrain open first day. Prime Timers enjoying the day included myself, Mac, Dan, Per, and Julie.
We’ve had some rain today, but they are sending the snowmakers back with the cooler temps. As it cools off, they’ll work toward expansion.
Binding checks. Your skis have been sitting all Summer long. It’s always a good idea to get your bindings checked annually. The various ski shops in the valley as well as Sunday River can do this for you for a nominal charge. You do want those bindings to release when you need them to. Our body parts are not so strong as when we were younger and spare parts are in short supply and very expensive.
Member directory. We recently sent out a member directory, and promptly received some updates and changes, so I am including a newly updated member directory.
Seeya on the slopes!!!
