In just a few short weeks we’ll be gathering at Sunday River for our Annual Fall Meeting Weekend, September 19-22. It’s always a fun time with lots of activities: kayaking, biking, hiking, apple picking. Bethel has it’s annual Harvest Festival on the common Sept 21 where there are craft booths and special music to enjoy along with some great food and down time. Check out: www.bethelmaine.com. There will be a pot luck on Friday night and Lobstah Bake on Sat night. At this time we need to focus on Lobstah/Chicken Bake as this will be fully catered dining event and we need your response by August 31 as we need to guarantee to vendors. Saturday 21– Dinner – Lobstah/Chicken Bake/ Portobello Mushroom – 5:30 p.m. Happy Hour & apps.-BYOB – feasting starts at 6:15. We are traveling to Hanover, the home of Jack & Irene Kuchta, who have graciously allowed the use of their property.Lobster with Steamed Clams – $64 Fire Braised Chicken Breast – $54Marinated Portobello Mushroom – $49 All come with veggie selection, corn on the cob, pasta salad, coleslaw, and strawberry Shortcake. Tax and gratuities included. (Tent, chairs, tables, lights are being paid by the club) This is a prepaid dinner: Your check is your reservation.
