Winter Newsletter January 12, 2025

And they’re off! The season has begun!

New Member Meet and Greet was held Thutsday at Sunday River Brew Pub. New members got to meet board, introduce themselves and why they joined. Comments were: expand social network in our Winter Home, whether on or off the mountain, game night, other outdoor sports etc. Looks like we are all looking for friends to play with outdoors or indoors. Reminder to all members, check out Prime Time Facebook page. It’s a great way to organize or post any last minute activities that didn’t make it into Newsletter of the week.

Sad News

Bing Fishman and his dog, Cooper, were well-known around the mountain and by many of our Prime Time members. His wife, Betty Ann Fishman, a longtime ski instructor, passed away this summer of PLS, a disease similar to ALS; Golden Retriever Cooper passed away this fall, and Bing Fishman, a longtime owner at Merrill Brook condos, passed away on December 28 of a heart attack.

A Celebration of Life will be held for all three at the River House (the green ski school building at South Ridge) on Saturday, January 25, from 4 – 6 PM. Everyone is welcome to drop in to share a memory, some food and a toast to the “Mayor of South Ridge,” his wife and trusty pup. This was their happy place. All will be missed by the Sunday River community.

Mt. Tremblant

The Prime Time Ski Club is going back to Mt. Tremblant Québec! The trip dates are from 16-23 March, 2025, and you choose how many days you want to stay and ski. Slopeside and mountain village lodging with generous discounts on lifts and lodging.
