We will meet on Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. near the slopeside firepit of South Ridge Lodge and then divide into groups based on ski ability. And yes, the price has gone up; this year it will be $180 for the four 90-minute clinics. (This is still a good deal; if you check SR’s website, the price for one 2 hour, weekday group lesson is $75 and our PT lessons come out to $45 for an hour and a half lesson.) The dates will be: Session 1 January 21 January 28 February 4 February 11 Session 2 February 25 March 4 March 11 March 18 If you are interested in participating, and since this is a special package that is not offered online, please email Brenda Saller at gb1saller@gmail.com. She is collecting the names to forward to the ski school. Once your name has been forwarded to the school, you will need to purchase the lessons package at the Snow Sports School. Ski-A-Thon is just around the corner…..It’s that time of the year again- Maine Adaptive’s Ski-A-Thon will be held at Sunday River on March 24th. Maine Adaptive is not just about skiing, our athletes and hundreds of volunteers can be found year round engaged in the serious business of sports and recreation—biking, kayaking, golfing, climbing, hiking and more. In addition to our alpine programs at Sunday River, Sugarloaf, Saddleback, Pleasant Mountain, Black Mountain and Mount Abram, we have three specialty camps in the winter — Veterans No Boundaries, New England Visually Impaired and our amazing Mono-ski camp where mono-skiers teach those new to the sport. We are unique in that most of our programs are offered at no charge to our athletes, thanks to so many donors who support our programs. Please consider a contribution to support Prime Time member Paul Hogan’s Ski-A-Thon team – Tops-4-23 (we won last year!). Here’s a link to the team’s fundraising page https://maineadaptive.app.neoncrm.com/campaign.jsp?campaign=48&fundraiser=24764& Also, if you are in Bethel area on March 24th, we also need volunteers for all aspects of the event, both on and off the slopes. Come for the day or just a few hours! If you can help out, send Paul Hogan a note and we’ll connect you —paulhogannj@gmail.com.Thanks if you can support us.
