Late February Update

A large number of members turned out for the delicious February 10th potluck – don’t forget the next potluck on Thursday March 10th, 5:30 at the Grand Summit Owner’s Quarters 2nd floor!  (bring something for 5-6 people, BYOB, the club supplies utensils, etc).  At the end of next week we will be sending out details on the March 31st End of Year (EOY) Dinner.  And don’t forget to check out PT Club member Terri Messer’s articles published in the Bethel Citizen under the “Press” tab above, on this website.

PT Club members don’t stand still.  Peter Musso is Artist of the Month at the Local Hub in Greenwood (Locke Mills) on Route 26.  Peter has been painting for many years and since his retirement in 2015 he has found a bit more time to devote to his passion for art.  You can view his collection during their regular hours.  (Apologies to Peter for overlooking this honor earlier in the month.)

PT Club members Dutch and Elaine Dresser – who sailed their 42 foot sailboat 7,000 miles for ten months during 2014-15 round trip out of Rockland, Maine – will make a presentation on their adventure on Wednesday, April 13, 4:30 – 6:00, McLaughlin Auditorium, Gould Academy.  Free and open to the public.

For those looking around the Bethel area for other enjoyable gatherings, PT Club Member Steve Smith has brought our attention to two events that promise to be lots of fun:  a beer and wine tasting and a country breakfast which have been organized by the Rotary Club of Bethel to benefit community projects and scholarships.  In addition to the descriptions below, you can click on the links for more details (and you can buy tickets from Steve Smith or at the door):

The 9th Annual Wine and Beer Tasting will be held on Saturday March 5th 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Sunday River Inn, and is $30 per person.   Sample a wide assortment of choice wines, beers and appetizers provided by The Good Food Store.  There will be music to add to the fun of this evening.  Rotary wine tasting flyer pdf

The country breakfast is on Sunday March 13th 7:30 to 11:00 a.m. and will be at Ordway Hall at Gould Academy on Church Street.  It is $8 for adults ($10 at the door) and $5 for children.   country-breakfast-spring-2016-pdf
