Board update, November 1, 2012

Hi all,
We hope the Hurricane skated around you as much as possible. Seems like New England was spared a direct hit but those on the water hopefully took the precautions and got boats out as well. Seas were extreme and winds for everyone took both leaves and the attached trees in some cases down. Hope all are okay and inconvenience was the only downfall.
Sunday River
The mountain has upgraded itself to the tune of about $3 million in cost with the primary addition of 300 snow guns and two new groomers. I don’t know what the weather will bring us all this coming winter, but it appears that Sunday River has the preparations in place whether we get natural snow or not.
SR preformed a “test” snow run on 10/13 on T2. Pictures are on the SR website. It looks like Colorado in January. If they can do that in early October, we’re gonna have some fun this winter!!!!!!
Corporate Passes
As another benefit to Primetime members, our friends at the mountain denote us as eligible for “corporate” status. This provides all members with the availability of corporate vouchers which can be redeemed for about a 15% discount on day lift tickets (ANY day). You’re welcome to use these for friends, family members or even if you want to ski on an otherwise blacked out day.
Pricing:
Adult (19-64): $67
Young Adult (13-18): $58
Junior/Senior (6-12, 65+): $47
Here’s how it works:
  • Around mid-late November all PT Board members will have a supply of corporate vouchers in hand.
  • See or write any Board member to get a voucher (limit 3 vouchers/member request).
  • Each single voucher is good for four (4) tickets. Note: they cannot overlap days. Each voucher can only be used on a single day.
  • Bring the voucher along with money to the SR (or Loaf) ticket window and buy your pass.
  • Ski
Note: some special deals around the mountain, especially in the early season may be at better rates than these provide. Check with the mountain for rates.
Primetime preparations
It’s still a bit early for your 2013 event calendar. Preparations are now in the works for events, for restaurant and retail discounts, and for special trips and events (not on the list currently). We expect most things to be firmed up by the next member’s mailing December 1st.
