Maine Adaptive Invites Prime Time Members to an Open House

Have you ever wondered what your fellow members from Prime Time Ski Club do when they volunteer for the Maine Adaptive Sports and Recreation program? Would you like to find out more about the equipment you see adaptive participants using on the mountain like a sit ski, outrigger ski poles or a walker-like apparatus called a slider? Did you know that the adaptive program now includes much more than snow sports? Have you ever thought about volunteering for the program, either on or off the snow?

Maine Adaptive Sports and Recreation Executive Director Barbara Schneider invites members of the Prime Time Ski Club to an Open House on Wednesday, March 14, from 4 – 5:30 p.m. at Maine Adaptive headquarters, 8 Sundance Lane, Newry — the last driveway before you get to the Fall Line condos. Come for a tour of the building, try out the adaptive equipment, hear from some of the 14 club members who volunteer for the program and enjoy some refreshments.

The Open House is being offered exclusively for Prime Time Ski Club members but guests are also welcome. If you are interested in attending, could you please email or call Alex Carr (acarr@maineadaptive.org, 207-824-2440, ext 1102) so we will have an idea of how many people to expect. For more information about the Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation organization, check out the website at www.maineadaptive.org.

Hope to see you at the Open House!!
