Annual Meeting Update Aug. 15, 2013

Hi all,
We’re happy to have finalized all events with the exciting annual weekend (Sept 20-22).  Now it’s up to you.  We’re going to be having a lot of fun Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  We hope you’re there with us.  We’ll be floating around a new lake (for us) on kayaks, playing in a golf scramble, biking in autumn in Bethel not to mention we have scheduled this around the always fun Bethel Harvest Fest.
If you’re not feeling up to a lot of activities, that’s okay too.  Come up Friday for the Pot Luck at the Shivericks and meet your friends once again, not to mention get the PT news.  Saturday, simply walk around the Harvest Fest and hold out for the great food at the Mill Hill dinner scheduled for 6pm.  Then Sunday, not much to do but listen for the swan song of your current board while you elect a new one.
It’s set up to be a great time and we hope to see most or all of you there.  Please read Suzie’s compilation of events below AND REPLY TO THE COORDINATOR OF EACH EVENT BY SEPT. 5TH.  Dinner number is limited (due to space), first reply, first in. Reply to Suzie, check to Bruce on that one.

Friday Kayaking:

Coordinator Suzie Dubois

Friday Sept 20th. Kayak/canoe Umbagog Lake and Magalloway river Errol, NH.  Just above the Errol Dam there is a vast easily accessible lake and river area that encompasses the The Magalloway River and Umbagog Lake National Wildlife Refuge.  One of the outstanding features is that true wilderness access is easy, and kayaking trips are easily negotiated.

I’m very excited with this new venue and quote from Nancy & Clarence,”You’ll love this trip Nan”.  It will be different, easy, wilderness, and possible fall foliage.  Just found out they close Labor Day.  There is a exception if  we can guarantee at least $300.00  pre-paid they will be able to accommodate us.  If it rains will get a credit that can be used during total season in 2014.  Looking to see how many of you would be willing to commit to trip and conditions.  Please let me know ASAP and If yes let me know if you would be renting kayak/shuttle or just shuttle.
Meet at rest area (across from the Sunday River Brew Pub) on Route 26 just beyond access road going towards Rumford at 8:30 am.  We will carpool and leave, caravan fashion. Bring a lunch and water. You might enjoy having binoculars and a camera for this one!  Rental cost:: kayak $30.00 + shuttle $20.   Have your own boat, shuttle cost for you & boat –$20.  Reservation are required for everyone (even if you have your own boat.)  Please RSVP to Suzie DuBois at suziecurves@myfairpoint.net or 207 712-6661 by Sept 5th or ASAP.  Prepay Suzie DuBois 16 Ledgefield Cir So Portland, Me 04106.  Call or e-mail with any questions.
