Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to everyone about ski lessons. It has not been easy to get a “deal” from Sunday River. The cost of lessons has gone up from $30 last year for a 90-minute lesson to $39 this year. Sunday River was willing to get us a “break” at $36 a lesson if we committed to 6 lessons with 5 or 6 in a class. However, who I went on the web site and found that they are offering a 4-pack of lesson tickets for $99. When I mentioned this to ski school management they said if we want to have the same instructor and be guaranteed our regular group for each lesson, we would have to pay the $36 cost and set up a series of 6 lessons.
I personally think it would be better to buy the 4-pack and put together our own groups and show up whenever we decide we want a lesson (each group can decide on their own). The down-side is that we could end up with others in our group and we could end up with a different instructor each time. However, I can’t believe that we couldn’t arrange to have the same instructor if he/she is available on the day we go for a lesson.
At any rate, I’m personally willing to try the 4-pack method of lessons. But if you prefer to work with the same instructor and the same group each time, I can help to facilitate that as well. Let me know as soon as possible if you are still interested (even if you have contacted me earlier) and what type of lesson plan you prefer.
