Board update July 1, 2013

Anybody thinking about skiing?????  Me neither.  Let’s talk fun.
Our 7th annual Bar Harbor trip just a couple weeks ago.  Twenty three (23) Primetimers took over the town for a few days.  We have reports of biking (no surprise), hiking (no surprise) and kayaking were all involved.  Suzie also notes that “Happy Hours” were the single activity which had the most attendance (again, no surprise!).  Thanks to Suzie for all the set up and planning.
Since things went so well on our “off season” event above, this may be a good time to give you a warning for our September Annual Meeting weekend.  This name is something of a misnomer in that while “meeting” is in the name, it’s NOT about a meeting.  It’s about a weekend of fun, energetic, outdoor activities combined with a potluck, a dinner and Bethel’s own Harvestfest.    While details are in the works, you may wish to keep Friday-Sunday Sept. 20-22 available or “blocked” for this event filled weekend.  We’ll be back to you with details shortly.
Unfortunately, I have some sad news to report to members.  We lost a long-time member of the club within the last month.  From my understanding Ann was with the club well into the earliest days of the 1990’s and was both well known and well liked by many.  She hadn’t skied much in the past several years so many of our newer members, myself included, didn’t know her as well.  Primetime will make a donation in Ann’s memory as is our custom.
