Carol Brewster
Sadly I must report that we lost a Primetimer this week. Long time member and 80+er Carol Brewster passed away after an illness. I realize that many of you do not know of whom I speak, however many of the older and longer tenured crew knew and skied with Carol. A beautiful obit is attached. Your Board has donated to MAS on behalf of Carol’s memory.
Mt. Abram trip
Any and all of you interested in skiing a new mountain this Thursday, we have arranged Mt. Abram to be available for Primetimers for $10 from noon to 4pm ($20 if you want to ski all day). At 3pm for those of you who wish to get off the hill, there will be a small cocktail and appetizer get together (for $7/pp). Bring your PT card and show at the ticket window. Should be a lot of fun. See you there.
Go-50 Week
Go-50 week starts Monday Jan 28th. The details are on our website www.primetimeskiclub.com and the mountain events http://www.sundayriver.com/Events/Main/Winter/Go50%20Week.html.
Hound of the Baskervilles theater (2/2 in Lewiston)
For those of you who have been thinking about a theater event, for $18 you can go with the group to Lewiston and take in this play, but you’ve got to hurry. http://primetimeskiclub.com/wp/ The deadline is THIS SATURDAY January 26th. Contact lyzucchi@gmail.com.
3rd Annual Wine tasting (2/6 Summit owners room)
Lynne has arranged six to eight different affordable and locally purchasable wines for us to try out. Who wants to buy a bottle of something they may hate? If you want to have a nice quiet party with about 20 Primetimers, sign up by Wednesday January 30th with lyzucchi@gmail.com. Cost is only $20. Details: http://primetimeskiclub.com/wp/
Ad hoc parties/gatherings
Primetime is built on forming relationships and building friendships. We now have over 135 members for you to choose whom to get close with. In that vein, the Board creates events so that ALL MEMBERS may go, meet people, and have some fun. We also arrange restaurant discounts so that small groups can have dinner together. Some members also choose to have ad hoc small gatherings where they invite a selection of guests. The Board strongly supports these initiatives, however we do not announce or promote these gatherings and they are not sponsored by your Club.
Discounts (Sunday River Brew Pub)
While we were at the SRBP for Thursday’s event I was shocked to learn that full meals like steak tips, chicken parm or fish/chips are $9.99 regularly and Primetimers get a 10% discount off that (roughly $8.99). On Wednesday’s they have drafts for 1.50-$2.00 too. Gotta tell you. Holy cow folks. That’s a deal like we can’t get anywhere.
